Patient Accounting

OUR PROVIDER STATUS

Doctors Surgery Center of Kingman maintains provider contracts with Medicare, AHCCCS, and many insurance companies. In addition, we offer self-pay patients attractive financial arrangements. We are likely to be able to accommodate any patient who wishes to use DSCK, provided there is clear communication and keeping of commitments.

You are encouraged to first speak with your insurance company to clarify what benefits you have. Of course, we do this as a normal part of preparing for your procedure. When we receive information from your physician, we verify your insurance status and also make every effort to secure an authorization  for your specific procedure. This is possible since we typically take only elective cases, and not urgent ones. That way there is sufficient time to make the connections and talk with the proper individuals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibility is three-fold. First, review what your co-pay and deductible obligations are, either by studying your policy provisions, or talking directly with a representative of your insurance. Second, be prepared to visit with Patient Accounting prior to your procedure so as to understand what is required by DSCK in payment terms. Third, realize that you are likely to receive at least two physician bills, in addition to the one from DSCK. That is, both your surgeon and your anesthesiologist will send you individual bills for their services. Naturally, these are separate from any charges you may incur for DSCK.

THE BILLING MAZE

We know that billing in healthcare can be confusing. Again, it is to your advantage to visit with the experienced Patient Accounting staff of DSCK to clarify any and all financial arrangements. We will do all we can to see that this aspect of your surgery is comprehensible and straightforward. There is no substitute for staying in contact with us should any issue arise.
